Hey John, purchased this quite a while back but just getting into it. I assume the principles are still valid & Facebook hasn’t made any huge changes?

Could you please clarify… are you experiencing long load times, or slow video playback?

Let us know and we’re happy to look into things and try to resolve any issues.

    Hi there!

Happy to have joined. I’ve got a album mastered and ready to promote but its just me on my own so I get very stuck on the marketing! I am very much looking forward to learning this stuff and learning to advertise on Facebook. Its definitely going to be my New Years resolution to get going with it 🙂

    Hi John,

    Hope you’re well.

If I don’t have any music to sell, but wish to grow an AUDIENCE and in turn get booked for performances, events etc, I’m hoping this will still be beneficial for me? I’ve obviously paid the moeny now, but my hesitation was the fact I don’t have productions to SELL (yet!).

Thanks for your feedback and look forward to learning.

    Mike

    • John Oszajca says:

      Hi Mike,

Not to worry. While the focus of much of what I do is selling directly to fans, 90% of what you’ll learn here will still be applicable and valuable. Your offers will just be different.

But if you run into any issues where you are not sure how to apply a strategy to what you are doing, then just post below the lesson and we’ll be happy to help.

Welcome to MAW and I hope you enjoy the course \m/

So excited to get started on this program. Its such a ‘dark art’ in many ways, so I’m glad to finally have some help with FB ads that’s targeted for musicians. Thanks John, see you on the inside 🙂

  • john gallagher says:

Hi John and Steve. Looking forward to checking this out fully. I like the way that you’ve laid out the lessons so that I can go back to review aspects as I’m progressing. Since doing MMM 3.0, I ran into a few problems with article content and The free traffic side of things so I hope doing MAW will make it easier to get in front of an audience. Many thanks, to you both

    • MMM Support says:

      Hi John,

Welcome to the members area. Yes, while free traffic methods can help offset the cost of acquiring subscribers who don’t eventually buy, it’s more of a long-term and cumulative approach to getting site traffic. With paid ads, you’ll find the traffic to be much faster and also higher quality in most cases.

We hope you enjoy the course. Let us know if we can ever help with anything along the way.

  • Ronnie says:

    Kia ora John,
I am very excited to started on this Music ads session. My band Laconic Zephyr are based in New Plymouth New Zealand.

I want to expand our audience. Please check our Laconic Zephyr.com website. I also purchased and used the MMM 4.0 a month ago.

  • Hi guys, Hannes Riepler here from London. I’m completely new here and very excited to be part of this course. I’ve been eying with MMM for a while but could never get myself to go ahead. When FB advertising came out I thought I’ll give it a go. In the near future I’m looking to use the lesson materials to get more people to come to a regular jazz night that I’m running in London, and then people to sign up, for future engagement (I also write and release my own originals) and to help promote touring.

    • John Oszajca says:

      Hi Hannes,

Welcome to the members area and for picking up the course. It’s great to have you here.

Let me know if I can ever help with anything.

  • Don Mancuso says:

Hey John. Just did the welcome segment. Looking forward to the program. Hopefully it will bring me up to speed and get me focused on the right things. I have been with major and many indie labels. One of my band mates from a band I was in many years ago became a platinum seller and soared to success. It has helped my career; but I really need to figure out how to get to the many fans out there that might still be interested in the new music I’ve been putting out since then. Thank you doing the break on the price too! I’m sure it’s worth way more.

    • John Oszajca says:

      Hi Don,

Welcome to the members area and thanks for picking up the course.

  • Gabriel Santiago says:

Hi John, really excited for this. I’m a MMM 4.0 member and I was at the Inside Circle but had to stay away for some time. I just went back to it and got the Ads course. I’m just about half way through it. I got a quick question: How can I get the Ad Copy course at the moment? I missed the window but I know how important it is to get the message to market match and I know that course will help substantially. Please let me know.
All the best and thank you again for presenting such great and valuable content.
    Gabriel

    • MMM Support says:

      Hi Gabriel,

Steve here from MMM Support. Welcome to the Music Ads Workshop and thanks for picking up the course.

As far as I’m aware, the Copywriting Workshop is officially closed. That said, I could be mistaken. You might want to contact John directly at john@musicmarketingmanifesto.com for clarification.

  • brett stewart says:

Hi all! This question is for John, and the room as well.
One of my goals with ads is to build my Spotify followers. Has anyone used ads, and these techniques in the course, to drive traffic there?

I’m considering using the Show.Co platform which acts as a “gate” to free content. ie, Follow on spotify for a free song, access to unreleased video etc…

I’d love feedback on how to tailor the ads for that purpose. Bueller?

    • John Oszajca says:

Hey Brett, good to have you here.

As someone who focuses more on sales than streaming, I don’t want to give you any half cocked advice. But instead I’ll simply say that if you have an audience then you can drive them to take any action you ultimately want, so long as it;s good for them. And that certainly applies to streaming.

I am working on a streaming strategy now though, and once I have info to share I will post it.

    • Rick Barker says:

      Hey Brett,

One of the strategies I used when running ads in FB for Spotify Traffic is to also make sure to Narrow Search and add in Spotify users. That way when they click to go to Spotify if they are already logged in on their computer or phone it opens immediately and doesn’t only give them a 30 second preview.

  • Steven Vrancken says:

    Hi John and everyone!

so looking forward for my Facebook Ads crashcourse!

Am taking MM4 at the same time, to transform my music business into awesomeness 🙂 I give myself 6 months to see the first tangible results, I believe this is doable.

John, with the intro lesson video last week, you replied to my question, thanks.

When you tell: “It is difficult to do much more than break even if you only sell a single album, and even that can be challenging”.

1/ Then the real money comes from regular upsells or additional products? Merchandise, limited exclusive editions,… ? Around 3 or 4 times a year?

2/ To get, for example, 2000 hard-leads, real super fans on the aweber mailing list through facebook ads, can you give a rough estimate about the average cost? If the optin page converts at 25 % for example – and when the funnel itself = decently good.

What kind of investment should we budget for facebook ads if our goal is to generate + 2000 high quality & ready to buy leads? Over the course of 6 months?

Is it possible to give a rough estimate?

    Thanks a lot,

    Steven

    • John Oszajca says:

      Hey Steven,

Welcome to the members area and thanks for all the support. Your goals are definitely doable.

Numbers vary a lot. Squeeze pages convert between nothing and 50%. All of my active ones at the moment (including those I manage for clients), are converting between 25% – 37%. Though I’ve had worse numbers.

Subscribers can vary wildly as well. I aim for $1. But sometimes they cost more, or less.

What is most important is to lock in to your subscriber value, and your subscriber acquisition costs. It wouldn’t matter if you spent $10 per subscriber if their value was $12, know what I mean? But if their value is .50 cents then you have your work cut out for you.

Start with projections, and then fill in those numbers with reality.

Catch you on the upcoming coaching call.

  • Mijo Biscan says:

    Heyya John,

After being part of the copy-writing for musicians workshop a few months back I’m really looking forward to learning the latest when it comes to fb ads to get my new record out into the world to the right peeps.

    Cheers man.

    Mijo

  • Hey John, so excited for this new version! My career this year really took off – I was on FIVE albums, produced videos, did some touring, got asked to be on a tour next year, increased my products and social presence – but still haven’t had the time to get to building my own fan base in the form of the all-important email list. Which I have now come to understand, really is EVERYTHING for the long game. I’m really looking forward to integrating the Copywriting for Musicians course from this past summer, with the MMM 4.0, with this new FB Ads Workshop – can’t even tell you – 2019 is the year to BLAST OFF!! Thank you so much.

    • John Oszajca says:

      Hey Andrew,

So sorry for the slow reply. I just discovered that comment notifications weren’t working and i have missed a few dozen comments. I thought it was quiet in here. Doh!

That’s all really awesome to here. I have no doubt 2019 is gonna kick ass.

Can’t tell you how much I appreciate all your support.

  • Brian Rogers says:

  • Adrian Rox says:

I’ve worked through the whole course (well, apart from the last couple of lessons are still work in progress lol). This is a great course, tremendous value. Very clearly thought out, and I think it would be hard to make it any shorter than it is, still keeping all the concepts intact. I previously bought MMM 4.0 and that too was a great course. Hats off John, I think this is precisely the product that you imagined.

    • John Oszajca says:

      Hey Adrian,

So sorry for the slow reply. I just discovered that comment notifications weren’t working and i have missed a few dozen comments. I thought it was quiet. Doh!

Thanks so much for saying that. Means a lot. Should have the remaining two lessons up within 12 hours.

  • Paul Belair says:

Hey John! Signed up for MMM 4.0 over one year ago. Single father, four kids, work, blah, blah, blah, so only now have managed to save some money to invest in advertising. Coincidentally MAW 3.0 shows up so the dream is to do music…full time! Can’t wait to start seeing some traffic to my site! Happy Holidays! All the best!

    • John Oszajca says:

      Hi Paul,

Welcome the Music Ads Workshop! Happy to hear that this opened up at an opportune time for you and it’s great to see you here. Thanks for picking it up.

and again thank you for precious knowledge,
    I’m happy to be here!

  • Brad Roseborough says:

    Hey There Everyone!

Just got on board the Music Ads Workshop! This is going to be great! I’ve done some FB ads for non-music related products with some (as in a little) success, and I really want to learn how to do FB advertising the RIGHT way, not only for my music, etc., but for anything else I might want to market going forward.

Thanks John for all the work you put (and are putting) into this course!

    • John Oszajca says:

      Hey Brad,

Thanks for the kind words. Great to have you here. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions along the way.
